ICM (Intentional Camera Movement)
New in 2017: Start moving and let your creative imagination go wild

During this photo workshop you will learn to create abstract images by using the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) camera technique.
After this workshop you will know that this technique is more then just trial and error ; that you can actually create different moods and atmospheres in your image just by looking at your scene more carefully and think ahead before you start moving the camera. Kristel will guide you true the different methods of movement and you will see that there are endless possibilities.
I came back for a second day with Kristel because photographing with her is a great learning experience and she helps me to perfect my compositions. She is also great company and a pleasure to be with – Peter| UK
Auvergnes flora photography workshop
New in 2017: May, June, July
During this photo workshop you will learn to capture the local wild flora in a way that will rise above the standard snapshot images. By looking at color contrast, learn to create atmosphere in a composition, focus on details and work with different depth of field. For those who like to create more creative compositions we can look at different photography techniques and methods. The Auvergne is a paradise for wild flowers, from hillside meadows to mountain fields covered with colors. We will explore some local wetlands with rare carnivora plants and different types of cotton-grass, not to forget the many wild Orchid species that grow in the region.
Improve your technique
All year round !
During this workshop you will learn the basics of (nature) photography and practice photography on the field. Kristel will show you not only how to build up your photo but also look at the basics of a good composition.
We had a great day and learned a lot. My camera is less a black box now. I have changed my thinking and usage from semi automated analog way of working to manual digital by using all the options I have available. Thanks Kristel for your clear explanations. Looking forward to the next level – Coert/ The Netherlands

If I had to introduce myself briefly I would say that I am a photographer and a workshop instructor who has specialized in nature and landscape photography. But that would just convey the visible part of my personal iceberg, as you can see it now.
Before I could show that present portrait of mine, many little drops of life have filled in a vase that is not yet totally full. I was born in The Netherlands and lived a big part of my adult life in Amsterdam. I studied Human Resource Management and Communication and I worked the last 6 years of my other professional career as a Communication Adviser for a Pharmaceutical Company.
Everything changed in 2007 when I decided to move to Auvergne, in France and focus on my passion, photography.
To tick off some boxes, I’m not a technical person above all. I’m more interested in feelings and emotions. Photography is more than just a passion; it’s a way of living and the best way to express myself more creatively. I work with an eye for detail to give birth to intimate compositions so that people can also play a part when they look at it.
Over the years I have carried out private commissions, photo assignments. You can also find my work in many magazines and other publications or in stock agencies like Naturimages and Nature in Stock. Parallel to this I am also collaborating with Nordic Vision Phototours.
