Waterbury ROAR! Vol. 1, Issue 1

August 21, 2020

Welcome Waterbury families to the start of the 2020-2021 school year! This is the first in a series of newsletters that we will be sharing with you to communicate important information you need to know.

It is essential that your family has a current, working email address on file with the office. This is the way in which teachers set you up in Seesaw and/or Google Classroom, and without this information, your child may not have access to their class information. If you have not done so already, please ensure that you give this information to either Melinda Carone or Lynda Cronin in the Waterbury Office (630) 893-8180. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Monday, August 24th, we will have supply pick up for students.

There are certain supplies that students will need from us in order to be successful. We will have further communication to tell of other dates. To start the year, we need you to come to Waterbury to pick up materials from your child’s teacher. Make sure you bring a bag for each child (or an empty backpack) to make it easier to distribute the supplies. When you arrive, be sure to stay in your vehicle, keep the window rolled down, and wait for someone to assist you.

Grade 1-2 Families, please use the circle drive in front of the school to pick up your materials from 10 am to 2pm.

Grade 3-5 Families, please use the drive on the northside (by the baseball field and temporary tent) to pick up your supplies.

Families that have several children, please go to your eldest child’s pick up spot (ie-4th grade child and 2nd, go to the 3rd through 5th grade pick up spot). If you have a child in Kindergarten, their supplies can will be picked up during screening. Please bring an empty bag or backpack with you to carry the supplies.

Waterbury's wildcat needs a name. Submit your ideas to kstalzer@esd20.org, and we just may choose yours! Gender neutral names preferred

Our social worker, Ms. Rasinski, has created a virtual office that parents can access. If you wish to have the link, please reach out to jrasinski@esd20.org to be added.
