It was fantastic to see so many people at parents' evening this week (98% of families) and we hope you found it a useful way of hearing how your child is getting on.
Well done as well to Squirrels class this week who put together a very funny class assembly all about Henry VIII!
We also had a visit from Tomas Williams who represents parliament and is an outreach worker for the south west. It gave our KS2 children the chance to learn about democracy, parliament and the government.
Eastern Avenue Parking
It has been reported that when dropping off children in the morning some cars are blocking driveways or parking on double yellow lines. We're aware that parking can be very difficult in the morning but please ensure that cars are parked in designated spaces to ensure safety for all.
Badgers Bake Off
On Monday, Badgers had their very own bake off to support 'Stand Up 2 Cancer'. Everyone in the class baked, we had biscuits, cookies, cupcakes, cakes and even some delicious choux buns! The total amount raised was a phenomenal £161.
It was a tough decision for the judges to decide on the winning bake but Kiandra was voted as the star baker. She made an amazing chocolate orange sponge with fresh cream. Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising by buying our cakes at the sale.

Laura James - Author Visit
On Thursday Laura James came into our school and told us about being an author.
She told us about Pug and Fabio the Famingo it was really interesting, Lady Miranda was a bit cheeky and fun.
Laura James made us wear different ‘Pug hats’ and made up a story with us and it was really, really fun. She also read us a bit of ‘Safari Pug’, we loved the story because it was silly and funny. We all laughed with enjoyment.
Laura James made a book shop in the hall, we collected the books we had ordered and Laura James signed them for us. There were seven books, two Fabio and five Pug ones.
Laura James is so funny and very silly.
