Alumnae Au Courant December 2019

Day of Service

In November, students, parents, alumnae, faculty and staff joined together to embrace the Mission of a Sacred Heart education and live out Goal 3 during the Day of Service. These members of the school community volunteered their time working in the soup kitchen and food pantry at Caritas of Port Chester, Inc., reading and coloring with children at Don Bosco Port Chester, handing out breakfast to the homeless in New York City, and playing Bingo with the elderly at the King Street Nursing Home. Thank you to all of our alumnae volunteers, especially Maureen Mara Brown '82, P'19 and Susie Callagy McCloskey '84, P'14, '20 who were instrumental in organizing this wonderful day of helping others.

Come Home for Christmas

Last weekend, we kicked off the Christmas season at the 7th annual Come Home for Christmas event. Friday night’s Christmas Party was a tremendous success bringing parents, faculty, staff and alumnae together to celebrate Winter in the Alps. On Sunday, we welcomed new and old friends to an afternoon of seasonal activities and a festive holiday boutique. The event netted over $90,000 to support Faculty & Staff Professional Development. A special thank you to the entire Alumnae Board, especially Santa's Secret Shop Co-Chair Liz Waldrup '77 and Holiday Boutique Co-Chair Nicole Russo Steinthal '88, P'19, '21, for helping to execute such a successful weekend.
