January Newsletter New year, New cars, New calendar

The winner ain't the one with the fastest car, it's the one who refuses to lose.

The winter season is well and truly in full swing. With the Autosport show being this weekend, we know the season isn't to far away from starting again. In 90 days the 750 Motor Club will roar into action once again, hopefully avoiding the 'Beast from the East' this year! Below is some of the best action from 2018, I look forward to adding to it this year.

SJN Photography to continue affiliation with MACAW Motorsport team..

Great news to start the 2019 season off, I'm delighted to announce the continued affiliation with the MACAW motorsport team. It's going to be a big year for the team expanding into two formulae. MACAW will again be contesting in the Hot Hatch Championship with drivers to be announced soon, new for 2019 will see them branch out into the ultra competitive Locost championship. Mark Freeman who prepares the cars for the race weekends has certainly got his hands full. I just hope Maggie will be keeping her eye over the teams operations ;)

MACAW will feature in each newsletter, and we will get to know the team and drivers throughout the 2019 season. Good Luck this year!

New Feature for 2019.. Photo Of The Month

For 2019 each month I will post my favourite photo I've snapped. I'll start with one from 2018. This was taken at Donington Park National circuit of Rodren Vella in his Class B Honda Civic. Rodren is known for giving it his all. This picture really shows his commitment into the last chicane, the front wheel just lifting off the ground as he makes a correction in steering. The low light of the autumn sunshine produced fantastic colour although I can imagine it proved troublesome for the drivers.

Equipment used: Canon 7D Mkii, 150-600mm lens, 1/640 sec.

Check back each month to see who's made the photo of the month!

Autosport Show - The 750 Motor Club have had 14 cars on display this weekend for the Autosport show. Mark Freeman was showcasing his hire car for the Hot Hatch Championship, Richard Bradley was there with one of his SRB Locost racers, he was also there with the new formulae for this year the Ma7da series which we will follow closely. Scott Mittell revealed the bike sports challenger which SJN photography exclusively announced last year. The BMW 116i trophy looks to be gaining good grid numbers including the Royal Air Force with their striking liveried car.
