My topic for the Google Forms survey project was about MLB and people’s preferences regarding their favorite teams. I chose this topic because besides video games, it’s my number one interest. I love watching baseball games, preferably White Sox games, whenever I get the chance. I just wanted to see what other people’s opinions on the topic are. I also made it so that even if you're not a huge baseball fan, you can still easily fill out my quick survey, with no problem. This resulted in many different answers and collected data. When I was making my survey, I wasn’t looking to prove or disprove anything. I was just trying to see what teams people prefer over others. The biggest thing I found with my results was that most people are Chicago Cubs fans. This wasn’t really surprising considering the only people I surveyed are from Chicago, and there’s more Cubs fans than there is Sox fans, like me. One of the questions I asked in the survey was, “What’s your favorite MLB team?” I received a small variety of answers, but it was interesting to see people go outside the box, giving me answers besides our home-team. For example, the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees. In conclusion, I received a lot of information about my fellow peers regarding to the MLB. I found out that there’s people who like the Cardinals and the Yankees over the Cubs or the Sox. I also found out that only 3 out of 10 people surveyed like the Chicago Cubs as their favorite MLB team. There was actually a surprising 5 out of 10 people surveyed who said that their favorite team is the Chicago White Sox. Considering the people surveyed are mainly from the north side of Chicago, it’s weird that they like the White Sox, from the southern part of town.
