Earth, Seasons and Moon Project BY: Pricila kate hingada

Nile River- For thousands of years their planting was ruled by the Ancient Egyptian farmer.

Rotation (day)- The spinning motion of a planet about its axis.

Revolution (year)- The movement of an object around another object.

Calendars- An ancient Egyptians had created one of the first calendars and found that there were about 365 days in each year.

Seasons- Winter, spring, summer, and autumn.

Earth's tilt- Earth has seasons because its axis is tilted as it moves around the sun.

June (think in regards to Earth's revolution around the sun)- The north end of Earth's axis is tilted toward the sun. It is summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

December (think is regards to Earth's revolution around the sun)- The south end of Earth's axis is tilted toward the sun. It is summer in the Southern Hemisphere and winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

March and September (think in regards in to Earth's revolution around the sun)- Neither end of Earth's axis is tilted. Both hemispheres receive the same amount of energy.

Moon motion around earth and on its axis- Moon's size and its distance from the Earth causes the Moon to appear the same size in the sky as the sun. It takes the Moon 27.322 days to go around the Earth once.

Phases- One of the different shapes of the moon as seen from Earth.

solar eclipses- The blocking of sunlight to Earth that occurs when the moon is between the sun and Earth.

Lunar eclipses- The blocking of sunlight to the moon that occurs when Earth is directly between the sun and moon.

High tides- Its when a water flows toward point A and a high tide forms.

Spring tide-
