FDA Authorizes Johnson & Johnson Vaccine
Johnson & Johnson's single-dose coronavirus vaccine is now the third COVID-19 shot approved for use in the U.S. According to Dr. Paul Stoffles, the company's chief scientific officer, Johnson & Johnson plans to deliver 20 million COVID-19 vaccine doses in March and 100 million doses by June.
"This is a single-shot vaccine so 100 million US citizens will be able to get vaccinated before the summer with our vaccine,” he told CNN, adding that the company is producing as much as it can.

Amended New Jackson County Guidelines
Jackson County loosened some restrictions related to restaurants and bars effective 26. The changes include:
- Restaurants, bars and taverns can resume normal operating hours. Indoor and outdoor seating at tables remains limited to 10 people.
- Gatherings under 50 people are no longer required to submit a Gathering Protocol. Any gathering exceeding 50 people must submit a Gathering Protocol at least seven business days in advance of the event.
Expanding Vaccine Eligibility
Gov. Mike Parson announced last week that beginning on March 15, those who fall in Phase 1B - Tier 3 will be eligible to receive the vaccine. Phase 1B - Tier 3 is labeled critical infrastructure and includes government, education, water and wastewater sector and communications sector.

Missouri COVID-19 Vaccination Progress
As of March 3, 1,356,785 Missourians have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is 14.5% of the population. The state has averaged about 34,100 doses administered per day over the past seven days. In Jackson County, 11.3% of the population has received at least one dose of the vaccine.
