Where Is Punta Cana?

Punta Cana is on the eastern side of the Dominican republic which is on the island of Hispaniola. Punta Cana is in the Atlantic time zone. Since Punta Cana is south of the equator the weather is always lower 70's to upper 80's into 90's. As a result of Punta Cana being warm and beautiful it's a place for 5 million tourist to visit each year!

Punta Cana is 48 years old, founded in 1969. In 1950 there were more than 1,000 hotels in the country. Tourist stared to visit Punta Cana in the 1970's . Punta Cana is also know for its 20 mile beach. The Dominican Republic sport is baseball, and the flower is Mahogany.

Things To Do in Punta Cana

In Punta Cana you can do anything from riding Dune Buggies to exploring the coral reef. Right now in Punta Cana they are in winter from December to march and the summertime is June to September. Also Punta Cana has many Cathedrals and Castles
