Bucknell Football Scores Senior Day Shutout The Bison topped Georgetown, 12-0, to post their first shutout since 2015

Before the game, the Bison celebrated their 19-man senior class, which has captured eight All-Patriot League, two Academic All-Patriot League and two CoSIDA Academic All-District citations while maintaining a 3.12 GPA.

Abdullah Anderson was a force on the defensive line, recording two sacks for a loss of 12 yards.
John Burdick kicked two field goals to stake Bucknell a 6-0 lead early in the third quarter.
Marcus Ademilola caught a 36-yard touchdown pass with eight seconds left in the third quarter to give the Bison a 12-0 lead.
Colin Jonov led the stifling Bison defense with a career-high nine tackles, eight of which were solo.
Brice Sydnor recovered a fumble forced by Tom Adams in the red zone late in the second quarter. That play led to Burdick's first field goal.
Drew Newcomb hauled in his second interception of the season with nine seconds left in the first half, halting one of Georgetown's best drives.
The defense held the Hoyas to 214 yards of total offense and didn't allow them to reach the red zone.
Alex Pechin played a key role in flipping the field in the Bison’s favor, averaging 43.7 yards per punt. He dropped five of his seven punts inside the 20.

Bucknell's running backs enjoyed a productive day. Joey DeFloria and Chad Freshnock split the carries and finished with 97 and 78 yards respectively.

For Veterans Day, the Bison wore special helmet stickers in honor of the 28th Infantry Division, the oldest division-sized unit in the United States Army and one of the most decorated.

The Bison recognized veterans, active duty servicemen and women and Gold Star Families throughout the game.

The Bison will look to ride the momentum from their Senior Day shutout into their 2017 finale on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Fordham. Kickoff is slated for noon.
