American Sniper Chris kyle with Scott Mcewen and jim defleice

This book is the autobiography of ¨ The most lethal sniper in the U.S history ¨, Chris Kyle.

Chris was born on April 8th, 1974 in Odessa Texas. He later died on February 2, 2013 after being shot by Eddie Ray Routh. Chris and his friend Chad had reportedly taken Routh to the gun range to help his PTSD when he in turn shot both Chris and Chad.

Chris served four tours in the Iraq war and was awarded several commendations for acts of heroism and service in combat. The Pentagon officially confirmed 150 kills, beating previous record of 109.

Chris was in SEAL Team 3, Sniper element, Platoon Charlie (later on ¨Cadillac"). His first long-range kill shot was taken during the initial invasion when he shot a woman approaching a group of Marines while carrying a hand grenade.

Chris´s Awards

My favorite part of the book was when one of the instructors in BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL school) caught Chris with a dip in (chew tobacco) and made him eat the rest of the tin.
