Boudoir by Tracy Brown Session Planning Guide

Hi there! I am Tracy, owner of Boudoir by Tracy Brown. I'm sure you are a bit nervous, but no worries. I am here to make you feel very comfortable. All women are nervous at first, but by the time they leave the studio, they feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. That is my goal in life... to show women how truly beautiful they are, just the way they are.

We all know this society is always on the move. My goal is to give you a day to yourself, pamper you with mimosas, hair and makeup, and a session that will make you feel like a million bucks(although slightly sore). I want these sessions to empower you, help you see your beauty, and give you something to remember this fragment of your journey through life for years to come.

Reasons to do a boudoir session? A popular reason is for your significant other, but in the end, all of my clients mention how much better they feel about themselves after the session! Don't get me wrong, a boudoir album makes a great gift for that special person in your life, but just know that you are going to feel so much more confident in yourself once the session is over. And I think we all need a little more confidence in our life. So what I am saying is: Do it for yourself and if you happen to use it as a gift, great!

Posing makes a huge difference in the images. Trust me to put you in the best positions to show off your features!

So what should you expect during your experience with Boudoir by Tracy Brown? A great time! But I know you want more information than that. I like to start off with a consult in my studio so you can look around, get to know me, and see what you are getting yourself into. It usually takes about 45 minutes and I start you off with mimosas to help you relax. :) Mimosas will be a recurring theme here, mostly because it is the only drink I know how to make! We discuss everything from outfits to albums to what is going on in your life. I'm not even kidding. We will become fast friends. We will set your session date at this time as well.

Between the consult and the session, email me, call me, text me with ANY questions you have about the session. I am here to help and to make the experience more comfortable for you.

Prepping outfits. This is a daunting task, but take your time and ask me ANY questions. Check my blog for recommendations. Some of my favorites are body suits, off the shoulder sweaters and shirts, tanks, Calvin Klien underwear, lace underwear and bra set, knit socks... I love soft colors like pink with olive green, soft blue with pink or a soft red. Even though your session may say only 3 or 6 outfits, bring extra. Some things may photograph better than others.

Where to shop?

The session is when the fun begins. Nerves are normal at this point. I mean, I'm nervous for our family photos and you will be half naked during this session! But not to worry, those mimosas I talked about earlier will be on hand. :) You'll start with hair and makeup with my VERY talented artist. Then, we move right into the session. "What about posing? I don't know how to be sexy!" I have you covered there. I have photographed hundreds of women of all different sizes and I know how to bring out a woman's sexy self. You can trust me!

One to two weeks after your session, we will meet again in studio for a viewing session. This is where we pick out the images for your album and wall portraits. Together we will design your custom artwork that you will get to enjoy for the rest of your life!

Eye lashes help enhance your eyes!

Wondering what the investment will be? I have two session levels. A 1.5 hour session fee is $149, which includes hair and makeup, the session time, and 3 outfit changes. 3 hour session fee is $299, which includes hair and makeup, the session time, and 6 outfit changes. Collections start at $299, with the average client spending around $1-2000. Concerned about payments? Ask me about payment plans at your consult!

Once I get my prints, how do I display them? Most clients purchase an album and the Peek-a-Boo collection. The Peek-a-Boo collection is a great option for display in your house. It is beautiful and classy while remaining mostly annonymouos. It would be a great addition in your master bedroom or bathroom. These are one of my favorite art pieces to design.

Albums are so important for boudoir. Who doesn't want the Little Black Book? It's the perfect way to commemorate how perfect you are right now and it makes a great gift for yourself! Your album would make a great gift for your significant other as well. I know for a fact they will love it.

What about digitals? My collections all include digitals. I will tell you more at the consult, but I know that this is a technological age, so I try to accommodate, while still making sure you have prints to last a lifetime. :)

I love making comfy outfits sexy!

Why hire Boudoir by Tracy Brown? I have specialized in this niche of photography. I acquired the education and experience to make you feel flawless. A session with Boudoir by Tracy Brown is not just a standard session, it is an entire experience. You will feel confident, special and beautiful through the whole process.

Is hair and makeup required? Hair and makeup isn’t required, but it is highly recommended! I book an excellent hair and makeup artist, who will make you look and feel fabulous. Part of this boudoir experience is to feel pampered and special right?!

Do you book sessions on the weekends? At this time I shoot mostly Sundays and Thursdays with occasional Mondays and Fridays, but my eventual goal will be only one Sunday a month, so get them while they are available!

How do I prepare for my session? The most preparation you should do is hair and makeup and wardrobe decisions, which I am happy to help you with! I definitely don’t recommend crazy diets, this is about being comfortable in the skin you’re in! I know the female body, and I understand flattering poses for every body type. You will most definitely feel and look beautiful during the session and in the images.

What should I wear? We will go into a deep discussion about this at the pre-consult session, so don’t panic about this. We will make sure the session is completely you that your outfit selection reflects that.

Will my images be online? I will only ever share what you are comfortable with. If you want your images to be completely private, that is most definitely your choice and I will respect your wishes.

How do I schedule a session? Email me at tracy@boudoirbytracybrown.com and we will get your session set up! I can’t wait to meet you. :)
