What is Rape? Rape is a hate crime, expressed in the violent exercise of physical violation as a means to an end. Forcible sexual assault is the unlawful sexual intercourse with an individual by force and against their will, or without legal consent.

Sexual assault is a crime that has no place in our society. It is an attack on our values and forever changes the lives of victims.

Sexual assault can happen in many different situations; from dating, partner sexual violence, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, incest and to stranger sexual assault. Everyone is a potential victim, there are no boundaries regardless of their gender, age, race, religion or financial stats; male or female sexual assault can happen to anyone.

Rape culture is telling females to be careful about what you wear, how you wear it, how you carry yourself, where you walk and whether you make eye contact, to learn self defense or carry pepper spray everywhere you walk, but instead of living in fear and focusing on preventing getting raped, there is no education or responsibility aimed at perpetrators.

November 25th 1988, a 17 year old girl named Junko Furuta was raped and tortured to death right after a few days of her birthday. Three other boys, two being under 17 were not punished for their actions to Junko. She was kidnapped for 44 days and during these days she was raped countless times, tortured, forced against her own will just for the entertainment and enjoyment of these men.
