Cloning is making an identical copy of a cell or organism requiring cells replicate without making any genetic alternation.Currently used today on mostly animals such as sheep.

there are some people who disagree with cloning saying that its "destruction of a human life" , but most scientist would disagree saying "Cloning for medical purposes has the potential to benefit large numbers of people".

A gmo (genetically modified organism ) is an organism that's engineered in a lab to make the "perfect result " in order to copy that same organism over and over again in other words when certain traits are taken from the same or different organisms to make the desired product to replicate .

Most scientists say that farmers who grow these crops are able to use fewer environmentally damaging pesticides and are essential to feeding the world's growing population. They have also proven that foods produced by GMO are safe to eat . On the other hand there are people who argue, there is still no scientific consensus on the long-term safety of these foods. The use of GMO has also lead to a higher use of herbicide which is a toxin that is used to destroy unwanted vegetation.

Stem cells are taken from fetuses or fertilized eggs and are used for medical research

Scientist say stem cell research has a huge contribution to curing human disease. Some believe though that it is unethical to destroy a life because a fetus is living.

Used to identify individuals by characteristics of DNA

This can be used to establish eternity, but this is a laboratory technique thatcan be a link to biological evidence. It compares evidence from a crime scene to DNA from a suspect and they are compared. If both samples of DNA match then the evidence came from that person, if it doesn't then that person is no longer a suspect.

Personal ancestry is finding out ones family or ethnic decent

A paternity test is a test that usually involves DNA to find out if a man is the father of a certain child.

PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is a technique to make a lot of copies of DNA segments.

Gel electrophoresis is a technique used to separate mixtures of DNA,RNA and proteins.

Plasmid is a small circular double stranded DNA molecule that's different from chromosomal DNA. It provides a genetic advantage and antibiotic resistance.

Recombinant DNA is artificially made DNA strands that are made from a combination of two or more gene sequences.

Transgenic organisms are genes made of one species that can be modified or can be transmitted from one species to another
