MAC News Term 1 Week 11

Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we head towards the end of Term 1, we can look back on what has been a very busy but fruitful start to the year.

From SWAT Week to the College's annual Swimming Carnivals, Year 7 Camp, and various excursions and sports Gala Day's, our students have been blessed to be a part of so many of the good things that are happening at Macarthur Adventist College in 2019. We trust that these activities will stretch and grow our students as they step out of their comfort zone and take on new experiences.

In the coming weeks, we have one of the greatest celebration days coming up in the Christian calendar, which is Easter.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

This verse in John, sums up the Christian message of love, hope and life in abundance.

At the centre of this verse and the centre of the Gospel message, is Jesus Christ. He took the sins of the world on Himself so that we could know freedom in this life, and the next. God’s love for humanity became tangible in the life, death, and resurrection of his Son. What a wonderful time to celebrate together!

This Wednesday the College will be holding a combined Easter Chapel service with both our Primary and Secondary students attending. Parents and Caregivers are welcome to join us. May you and your family have a wonderful Easter break and we look forward to seeing you in Term 2.

What's On @ MAC

Out of School Hours (OOSH) Care

The College is currently in the process of establishing an OOSH care program on-site for our Primary students. Our plan was for it to become available to parents from the beginning of Term 2, but due to additional approval and regulatory requirements the program will not be available to parents until the beginning of Term 3. We are sorry for the delay as there has been strong demand for this service and we are doing everything we can to ensure it is made available for our parents as soon as possible. Primary parents would have received a letter last week with all the information about the plan for OOSH at MAC but if you would like to read more, please click here.

Year 12 Parent / Teacher Interviews

All students will need to be in full winter uniform during Term 2 and 3. This involves blazers for Yr 9 to 12. Blazers need to be the first option when it comes to jumpers and jackets. School jumpers can be worn UNDER the blazer on very cold days.
