HAWTHORNE'S AUTISM AWARENESS AND ACCEPTANCE IS GROWING

April is Autism Awareness Month and the staff and students at Hawthorne are showing their support to their fellow classmates and all individuals living with autism. Throughout the month, students and staff have pledged, by writing their name on a puzzle piece, that they can be a friend to someone with Autism. Throughout the month teachers have been talking with their students about autism and ways they can interact with the students at school. Thank you to everyone for showing your support! Check out the Autism Speaks website for more information and other ways to show your support.
