Term 1 Attendance

Research shows that good attendance & punctuality is directly linked to academic achievement and children doing well at school. Last year we were delighted to be in the top 11% of schools for our attendance (97.22%). Hopefully we can be in the top 10% this year! Despite some nasty bugs going around our whole school attendance in term 1 was around 96.7%. Please see below for attendance figures for each class last term.

Fieldmice: 95.5%; Rabbits: 94.89%; Hedgehogs: 96.76%; Otters: 97.1%; Owls: 96.42%; Squirrels: 98.37%; Foxes: 97.48%; Pine Martens: 97.36%; Badgers: 96.34%

Knowledge Organisers

The Knowledge Organisers for term 2 History, are now available to view on the school website.

Weekly Achievement Awards

Book Sale

On Wednesday 20th November we will be holding a Scholastic Bookfair. The children will be able to visit the fair during the school day, it will also be open after school from 3pm. There will a huge selection of books for all ages and all of the books will be half price!

Book Sale Poster Competition

Would you child like to win vouchers to spend at the bookfair?

We would like them to design a poster to advertise the Book Fair. The following information will need to be included:

Date - Wednesday 20th November

Time - 3pm

Venue - School Hall

There will be 1 £5 bookfair vouchers for each of the winners from FS, Yrs 1&2, Yrs 3&4 and Yrs 5&6 and best overall poster.

Please can all posters (with names and classes on the back) be handed to the school office by 3pm on Wedneday 13th November.

Year 2 Otters' and Hedghogs'

Y2 children from both Otters & Hedgheogs will need outdoor PE kits on Friday 15th November for a football festival at Stanley park. Can they please come to school in their PE kits and bring uniform to change back into after? The children will be traveling to Stanley Park on a coach and returning in time for morning break.

School Photos

Today was the closing date for orders of school photos to be brought into school however, orders can still be placed online by Sunday 10th November to benefit from FREE DELIVERY to school.

Dogs on the school site

Please can we remind everyone that dogs are not allowed in the school grounds, this includes out of school hours. Please can all dogs be left at the school gate when picking up and dropping off from school clubs, Breakfast & After School Club and the normal school day. Thank you.

Aldi Kit for Schools

Thank you to everyone who has been bringing in their stickers for our chart, If you have any more at home, please bring them in on Monday to help us finish filling the spaces.

We will be sending off our completed poster next week.

FOMPS

Special Meeting

3pm today in Owl's classroom to agree the new constitution and appoint trustees for FOMPS as we register as a charity. Please come along to register your interest.

FOMPS meeting

There will also be a normal FOMPS meeting next Friday 15th November at 3pm to chat about upcoming events.

Tea towels

The tea towels with all the children's pictures on have arrived and look superb! We will be sending out order forms next week so yours is ready for you for Christmas.

Christmas Fair
