The Uncommon Individual Foundation is a Devon-based nonprofit launching a TV studio in beautiful downtown Wayne! We are searching for talented multimedia interns who want to produce and create daily programming and content for the web and beyond.

What is the Media Mentoring Program Internship?

Our paid internship program is a unique opportunity to work with communications experts, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and other students.

Are you a tech savvy self-starter who can write catchy copy for scripts, lineup interview guests, snap quality pics and video, and edit?

Responsibilities:

- Write, produce, copy edit, chase produce for daily programs

- Shoot quality footage and edit using Adobe programs

- Social Media Management

- Write, design, and manage internal communication

- Assemble material into an assortment of video-based deliverables ranging from Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and other social media vehicles

- May be required to travel to on site events to shoot raw footage

- Extensive knowledge of Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook video and any other social-based upload and sharing efforts

- Maintain a detailed calendar and library of communication material

UIF is a nonprofit that promotes mentoring through 5 key programs: Entrepreneurship, Technology, Education, Media & Organizational Mentoring. Our mission is help our community achieve success through mentoring. We are looking for individuals who enjoy watching and producing inspirational stories--quality content that they would actually want to watch.

We are constantly growing and looking for ways to improve our content, too!

Here are our Requirements:

- Attention to detail and a genuine love for storytelling through words and pictures, coupled with excellent writing skills

- Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

- Fluent computer skills (some type of video editing software) and 1+ years of video and audio editing experience is valued

- Pursuing BS/BA or Associates related to English, Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Film Studies is a plus

- Working knowledge of basic video editing, video editing software, technical aspects of video production

- We want 3 writing or production samples to demonstrate your skills in social media, script writing, and story telling

- If you have your own laptop that you're comfortable working on, that's preferred

You are: Versatile, self-starter, deadline driven with a desire to make creative content across different spectrums

Educational Requirements:

- 18 years of age or older and enrolled in a college or university with an interest in one of the following: communications, video, marketing, journalism, multi-media communications, business, sales, video editing.

- A minimum of 20 hours per week with a maximum of 30 hours per week at $12/hr
