Environment Lo3

This image was taken in Kilmarnock next to the Kay Park. For this shot i had used a variable ND filter along with a tripod. I feel as if this image has been composed really well with the 3 parts of the river running along the full shit from left to right. I also feel as if the use of the trees in the foreground works really well in black and white. The use of the ND filter was very important because this image was shot during the day and it would be needed to block out some of the light to see the detail in the image.

This image was taken on a beach in Tenerife, this shot was not staged in anyway it was a spur of the moment shot. For this shot i did not use any additional equipment i had only my camera. I feel as if the image has been composed really well with the use of negative space playing a good part. This lighting conditions were quite good because of the time of day and it has gave me pretty good tones and also the silhouette of the rock and person.

This is an image of a sunset, this image was taken at my house in Kilmarnock. For this shot i did not use any additional equipment i had only my camera. I feel as if the image has been composed really well with the shilloute of the houses producing harsh lines and the undefined areas of the bushes all in the bottom proportion of the image with the sunset taking control of the frame. The lighting was at a really nice point in the day with the colour of the sunset having some nice tones with some areas of the darkened sky.

This image was taken on a college trip to ‘Duneskin’. For this shot i did not use any additional equipment i had only my camera. I also feel that the image has been composed really well with the main focus of the image situated slightly off centre and into the left hand side and it stops just before the top third of the image. As far as the exposure is concerned i feel that there is a slight area of the image what is over exposed at where the sun is but i also feel it works in addition with the almost gradient effect of the sky with some really nice tone range.

This is a lone exposure image with the incorporation of steel wool. This shot was taken at the end of a nights shooting with fellow class mates, we had set ourselves several locations to photograph in the one night and this location is a skate park which was found by accident at the end of the night. The equipment that was used in this photograph was my normal camera and lens with the addition of a tripod. I feel as if the image has bee composed really well with the main focus of the image in the centre of the shot. At the time the image was taken it was dark but because of the high temperature of the steel wool produced a good source of light.
