An address of distinction

The Château de l’Aile is set on one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, in Switzerland, on the Vaud Riviera: the Place du Marché in Vevey. The famous Festival of the Winegrowers takes place on this very square, every 25 years or so.

The Château de l’Aile, a strong architectural symbol of the city of Vevey, enjoys a spectacular view of the lake and the mountains. It offers calm and privacy while being close to all amenities: international schools, shops, cafes, theaters ... everything is within walking distance.

A way of life

The region of Vevey is word-renowned for its life-style, with its charming cafes, gourmet restaurants and the UNESCO world heritage of the Lavaux terraces vineyard.

The region offers a rich and varied cultural program, events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Lavaux-Classic Festival or the festival of Image.

The cultural offering of the region is rich and varied. You are very well-placed to enjoy, for example, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Lavaux-Classic Festival or the Festival of Image.

The opportunites for sports are numerous, the lake and the mountains being an inexhaustible playground.

A cocoon in the city

The luxury of a fully protected park, in town, on the edge of the water... The gardens have been restored with the same care as the castle.

An exemplary restoration

The restoration of the Château de l'Aile was an extraordinary undertaking that lasted almost ten years.

The owner's vision was to restore the original splendour of the historic building whilst preserving its architectural integrity. No effort was spared to achieve this vision.

The castle was restored using traditional crafmanship, executed by highly skilled local specialists and artisans.

High-tech by tradition

This traditional castle was designed in 1840 by Philippe Franel using state-of-the-art technology available at the time such as its air-driven heating system.

In keeping with this spirit, the restoration took care to retain and enhance the existing technology as well as incorporating new technology: heat recovery systems, thermal insulation and multimedia cabling are all part of the amenities.
