Wolverines By: Emily

Hi, I'm Emily. Today I am going to be talking about the amazing and probably, in my opinion, best animal, the wolverine.

Wolverines live in either the tundra, or the taiga, but today, I'm going to talk about the wolverines in the tundra. Located in North America, the tundra is a very cold and dry place. They live mostly live in Canada, and Alaska.

Diet & Water

Wolverines are omnivores. that means they eat meat and plants. In the winter, Wolverines eat larger animals like caribou and moose. In the summer, they eat smaller mammals like hares, porcupines, marmots, and ground squirrels. They can't just go and get McDonalds! I know right, how can they live without McDonlads! They hunt for food. They get water from frozen ponds or lakes.

No McDonalds!

Wolverines need a lot of space because they need to hunt and they fight for their territory. Their shelter is either outside or a cave. A shelter is something they live in or sleep in.
