LPS hosted its first ESL Family Night for students and their families in the English Second Language (ESL) program on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Approximately 50 families came together, representing over a dozen different languages and nationalities. The event included food, refreshments, information, and community resources for the newly arrived ESL families. Chinese and Spanish National Honor Society students volunteered to help with activities and play games with the young ESL students so families could learn about the ESL program and community supports. The evening proved to be both informational and fun.
