Biodynamic. Family. Beautiful.
Their name, Krásná hora, translates to “beautiful mountain” in English, and this family extends the beauty from the mountainside right into its winery.
When constructing their new facilities for grape processing, they underwent a modern and highly efficient yet historical interpretation of traditional village houses with saddle roofs and white facades interrupted by colored glass blocks reminiscent of windows typical of local farmhouses.
Following the lead of the 13th century monks who planted the first vineyards in the Krásna Hora line, they produce mostly traditional French varieties - such as Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir among others.
Managing 7 hectares of certified organic vineyards, they harvest their grapes by hand and yield on average 30-40 hl/ha. They are not trying to be as large as possible, but as healthy as possible with minimal intervention, and since 2014 they have followed biodynamic methods.
