How to begin using Learnics' ThinkingApp

Getting Teachers Started!

Creating a Teacher Account

1. Visit Learnics.co

2. Create your account by logging in with a valid gmail account.

Creating an Assignment

1. Once logged in, click your organization tab.

2. Press the "Add" button (+) to create a new class.

3. Click the class in which you would like to create an assignment. Press the "Add" button (+) to create a new assignment.

Sharing an Assignment with Students

1. Click on the assignment to view the access Code. Share this code with students for them to activate the assignment and turn in their online learning data.

Learnic's ThinkingApp tracks and analyzes:

Time online, sites visited, and search terms used to complete the assignment

Search terms, date and time stamps, specific website url, and time tracked while on the website allows educators to support student's learning through learner analytics data.

Getting Students Started!

Download the ThinkingApp

1. Either at home or at school, click on "Install ThinkingApp" from the Learnics website.

2. Click "Add to Chrome", then "Add Extension" to install the FREE ThinkingApp to the Chrome browser.

Completing an Assignment

1. Once in the Chrome browser, click on the ThinkingApp icon to launch.

2. Type in the assignment code and click "Check Access Code".

3. Click "Start" to allow the ThinkingApp to start tracking the online activity which will be submitted to the teacher.

Once started, the ThinkingApp icon will turn red.

4. Once you are done working online to complete the assignment, click "Turn in Logs" to deactivate the ThinkingApp.

5. Your online learning behaviors and data will now be submitted to your teacher and displayed in a similar data graph as seen below.
