Located in the heart of Whitehall, London's policymaking establishment.
RUSI's headquarters has hosted the top thinkers and leaders in defence and security.
It was purpose-built for the Institute in 1896, after being founded by the Duke of Wellington in 1831.
The building has since been crucial to the discussion of the most important security issues of our time.
Leaders from around the world have took to the podium at RUSI.
And our library, containing a collection of 30,000 volumes, has been used by scholars for generations.
Now, our iconic building will undergo a much-needed 18-month redevelopment programme.
There will be a careful restoration of RUSI’s heritage features in line with modern standards.
It will involve an imaginative scheme to create an additional floor, providing us with space for expanded events and research activities.
And there will be state-of-the-art facilities fit for a twenty-first century think tank.
