Pastors' Corner

God does not love us because we are valuable.

We are valuable because God loves us.

‘What marvelous love the Father has extended to us!

Just look at it - We are called children of God!

That’s who we really are!’

Year 7 Camp - Yarramundi

Students participated in a variety of activities including archery, raft building and rock climbing. Staff had nothing but high praise for the behaviour and willingness of students to face their fears and take up the challenges.

Well done Year 7 and especially to Olivia York who smashed the previous crate stack record (18) by stacking and climbing 21 crates with only a harness and belay rope for support. Spectacular!

Premier’s Reading Challenge

The Premier’s Reading Challenge website will be active as of March 6 for the 2017 challenge. Any book read since the 2016 challenge finished last August can be listed on your 2017 reading record.

On the NSW PRC website (https://online.det.nsw.edu.au/prc/home.html) you can read about the challenge, check the rules and regulations, view the extensive book lists, read the privacy policy and access your child’s reading record. Please use the same username and password as last year. I have a list of the usernames and passwords so if you have forgotten them please email me at library@wahroonga.adventist.edu.au . Kindy students and those new to the school will receive usernames and passwords as soon as they can be registered in a couple of weeks. If you have no internet access keep a written record of the books read, and when finished hand it in so I can enter it on-line.

If you are new to our school and your child has completed the challenge elsewhere please contact me with the details of those challenges (which school and which years) and I will contact the PRC team and have their challenge history brought over to our school.
