Congratulations to our Lady Lions Volleyball Team! We wish them the best of luck this weekend as they play for another State Championship against Pioneer. We've had a lot of school spirit this week. Congratulations to Davis Wolfe, Olivia Keller, Carter Malone, Kimber Padgett, Falyn Fisher, Annie Carrico, Rosemary McBeth, Chaining Payne, Wade Sheetz, Lucas Cramer, Kensleigh Carrico, Grayson Kluesner, Lexie Butler and Mrs. Dee Greene who were selected as November Students/Staff of the Month. The "Mane" Trait for October is Pay It Forward.
Picture Retakes
Picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, November 24th. Pictures will take place in the morning.
LES Power Hour (FREE TUTORING)
Great news! LCSC has received a grant through the University of Evansville for free tutoring services for the remainder of this year and the 2021-22 school year. More information will be sent home next week, so be on the look out for information.
Book Character Day
Veteran's Day
November 11th is a special day at Loogootee Elementary. This is a day that we honor our Veterans. In years past, we have put on a program for the Veterans, however, due to COVID, we are not able to do that this year.
To honor our Veterans, we will wear red, white, and blue. We will also have a donation war between classrooms. All money raised will be donated to our local American Legion and VFW.
Grandparent's Day
Unfortunately, due to COVID, we will not be able to celebrate Grandparent's Day like we have in the past. Loogootee Elementary is working on a special project to recognize these special people in our lives. We will be sending out more information in the near future.
Third Graders Collect Socks for a Good Cause
The 3rd grade classes have been busy during the month of October preparing for "Socktober." They put together a campaign to collect socks to donate to the Middle Way House for women and children fleeing abuse, as well as for the Veterans Homeless Shelter in Indianapolis.
LES Library Flash Fair Fundraiser
Loogootee Elementary will be holding an online fundraiser to help raise money for new books for our library. The online sale will run from Friday, November 6th-November 13th. Items purchased will be delivered to school and sent home with your child. The sale will include items such as: educational items, STEM resources, books, gifts, gadgets, and more!
