Utah State gymnastics sweeps BYU Friday Feb. 3, 2017

With a 195.850-194.850 win, the Aggies completed the season sweep of BYU. The victory marked the 500th win in program history, and was the highest-attended home meet since 1994.

Sophomore Madison Ward scored a career-high 9.850 on the vault and won the floor title for the fifth straight meet, tying her career-high with a 9.900.

Ward leads the league in titles won (five floor, one bars, one vault) and has scored a 9.900 in three consecutive meets.

Senior Keri Peel won the bars title for USU with a career-high 9.875 score. Fellow-senior Bailey McIntire was also awarded a season-high score with a 9.825.

BYU outscored the Aggies on the beam, but USU finished strong, closing out the victory with a season-high team score on the floor.

The Aggies are now 2-0 in the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference. USU will return to the Spectrum on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. to face Boise State University.
