Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart
You may well have read these verses many times before, and even held on to them. We’re encouraged here to trust in the Lord with all of our hearts. That’s quite a challenge for most of us. We’re happy to trust Him with part of our hearts, but our whole heart is a different matter.
Our hearts can have lots of compartments. Some we let Him into, but others we don’t. We don’t let Him into the parts which feel shame or guilt, which contain pain we can’t face, which have memories we’ve pushed away, where we’re struggling with sin, and which contain loneliness, disappointment, or despair. We hold ourselves back from the Lord.
Yet the verse tells us to trust the Lord with all of our hearts. That means all of our being, all of our identity; submitting every part of our lives to him - the good, the bad, the pain, the difficulties – all of us.
If we don’t let Him into every part of our lives we won’t be able to trust Him with every part of our hearts.

...to our Discipleship Pastor, Rowan du Boulay, on becoming a fully accredited Baptist Pastor at the recent BCWA 2020 Annual Assembly.
Baptist Churches of Western Australia, in co-operation with local churches, seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit to recognise those whom God has called and given to the churches to serve as Pastors. The evidence of their calling is seen in:
- the attestation, by those who know them well, that their lives conform to New Testament standards for leadership, and
- their personal sense of a call to the ministry, and
- Their diligence in equipping themselves for the ministry needed by the churches.
BCWA has agreed that formal public recognition of pastors is subject to candidates fulfilling specific requirements appropriate to the ministry for which they are to be recognised, and that candidates' credentials shall be examined by the BCWA’s Accreditation Team” (comprised of the Director of Ministries, Vose Seminary Principal, Church Health Pastors, Church and Leaders Support Pastor and other co-opted persons).
Accreditation as a pastor requires the approval of the Council, on recommendation from the Accreditation Team. Those accepted by Council will be presented to Assembly.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the Nepal Relief Offering in October.
The generosity of Parky people raised over $3,000 to help out those in Nepal who have been devastated by recent landslides and flooding in the area of the partner church that we have supported in the past.
We would love you to join us for a coffee morning on Friday, 13 November @10am on the outside deck at the church. This is an opportunity to get to know each other a little better and have a general chat over a cuppa. All welcome!
Psalm 25:4 Show me your ways O Lord, teach me your paths.

The agenda and more information will be sent to Members closer to the date.
Stamps Support Missions
Some people have been saving stamps for years and are unsure what to do with their collection. Global Interaction would really appreciate receiving them as they can be sold and the proceeds used for mission work.
If you have a stamp collection that you would like to donate or even if you have just been saving postage stamps, then please drop them off at the church office or give them to Rowan du Boulay.
Otherwise stamps can be dropped into the Global Interaction Office at 21 Rowe Ave, Rivervale.
