Where is your money going? Gigi fox

Your favorite restaurants, clothing brands, stores and companies give money to major political groups. Will you still support them even if your views don't align? Campaign contributors are people or companies that donate their money to certain political parties or certain politicians in hopes of helping them win their election. That money goes into campaigning via billboards, television commercials or rallies. So when you are buying that $10 dollar meal, you are essentially funding whoever their political nominee is, hopefully you have been supporting your prefered political party.

In 2020, almost 80% of donations from Nike went to the Democratic party for a total of over $586 thousand.

In 2020, 80% of donations from Amazon went to the Democratic party for a total of over $10 million.

In 2020, McDonald's donated almost $700 thousand to the Republican party, a percentage of 62.44% of their total donations.

In 2020, Target donated nearly $500 thousand to the Democratic party.
