Materials
- 200 popsicle sticks at most
- At most two bottle of Elmer glue
- About 20 paper clips
- 2 yard sticks
- Thin tissue box
- 10 loose ruber bands
- Open space
Top
- Step 1: Gather Materials.
- Step 2: Make a straight line with popsicle sticks about 45 inches long.
- Step 3: repeat step 2 1 more time.
- Step 4: Overlap both beams with a second row of sticks, starting at the middle of the first stick and stopping at the middle of the last stick.
- Step 5: Glue overlapped sticks in position on both beams and let dry.
- Step 6: place two beams horizontal from each other, make enough room to put stick on top of beams.
- Step 7: Starting from one side, place and glue sticks vertical to the beams on either side.
- Step 8: Repeat until beams are covered with sticks and let dry.
Bottom
- Step 1: Glue two sticks together with a 45 degree angle.
- Step 2: Glue a stick on the bottom of the two sticks, forming a triangle.
- Step 3: Repeat step 2 12 times and let dry
- Step 4: Put glue on bottom of a triangle
- Step 5: Place a triangle on the bottom side of the connected beams,you should be able to stick it on the side of the beam(seen in picture below) place it about 2 inches away from the side of the beams.
- Step 6: Repeat step 5 but this time placing it on the opposite side.
- Step 7: Place tissue box in between triangles sideways holding them in place.
- Step 8: Put rubber bands around the blx and the triangles, giving them extra support.
- Step 9: Place gluein cracks of triangles for support.
- Step 10: Repeat step 5-9 until you reach the oppposite side you started on, there should be extra space left at the end just like the starting side. Remove tissue box and rubber bands
- Step 11: Make a straight line of sticks on table with a length of 30 inches.
- Step 12: Overlap the beam like done in the beams on the top of the bridge.
- Step 13: Repeat step 11-12.
- Step 14: Wait till beams are dry.
- Step 15: Allign the beam with the tips of the triangle and paper clip the beam in place.
- Step 16: Put glue where the tips of the triangles meet the beam.
- Step 17: Repeat steps 25 and 26 with other beam.
- Step 18: Wait till beams are dry, remove paper clips.
- Step 19 On bottom of bridge( long flat part is the top of bridge) put a couple sticks across the two beams every 2 inches connecting the two beams and glue.
- Step 20: Let glue dry
