Maui Prep actively integrates technology into the learning environment and continues to seek new ways for it to enhance the learning process. We are committed to preparing our students for an information driven, technology-rich world, and thus technology is incorporated into our curriculum at every level.

Maui Prep believes that athletics is a vital component to the holistic education of the student. Our program encompasses the areas of social, emotional, intellectual, creative, and physical growth for the student-athlete, and emphasizes the principles of positive sporting behavior. Students learn teamwork, sacrifice, sportsmanship, responsibility and skill building. Our athletes and teams have earned accolades at the county and state levels. With our brand new Bozich Center for Athletics and Performing Arts, students can show off their school spirit during many Maui Interscholastic League events!

"As a new student at Maui Prep, I feel my life has changed for the better. I am given plenty of opportunities with sports, scholastic activities, and even the chance to make the world my classroom. I truly wish everyone could have this amazing experience and have the opportunity to join the Maui Prep 'Ohana. Maui Prep has changed my life for the better with the opportunities I receive, preparing me for what’s yet to come.”

Cultivating creativity is essential to learning in the 21st century. That is why Maui Prep is committed to supporting and enhancing our arts program. In June of 2020 we opened the Bozich Center for Athletics and Performing Arts to provide our school community with additional opportunities to explore their creativity and imagination.

Whether it’s through studio art, dance, theater, instrumental or choral music, or even AP Art, our arts faculty inspire students to pursue their talents and interests across many dimensions.

Activities, Clubs and Organizations

Student Activities provides an opportunity for all students to be engaged in campus life. We offer many different clubs and monthly activities that every student has the opportunity to participate in.

The many organizations, clubs, and activities, both curricular and extracurricular, are an essential part of the total educational package at Maui Prep. Students are encouraged to take an active part in at least one school activity. Student organizations meet regularly, either during lunch or after school. Maui Prep students work towards achieving Pueo Points through various clubs such as the National Honor Society, Global Issues Network, Rotary Interact Club, Hula Club, National Art Honor Society, and even Cooking Club.

At Maui Prep, students constantly develop their moral character, an imperative part of educating the whole child, through the following core values:

10 Commitments to Living Aloha in the Maui Prep ‘Ohana

Mahalo: Living with Gratitude.

Pono: Exemplifying the Highest Moral and Ethical Behavior.

Financial Aid

Maui Prep offers a financial aid program that is designed to aid families that might not otherwise afford a Maui Prep education, as well as families that are experiencing temporary financial difficulties. Financial aid is a need based program that is awarded based upon an evaluation of each individual situation. Maui Prep recognizes that each family’s situation is unique and must be subject to both objective and subjective analyses in reaching a decision as to any amount awarded. Financial aid shall be awarded without regard to race, color, national and ethnic origin, or sex.

Here is a step-by-step review of the TADS financial aid application, and the documentation necessary to submit a completed application. This is very helpful for determining the steps of the process.

College Preparation

Maui Prep’s teachers and college counselors are invaluable thinking partners for students in the college exploration and application process. While conversations about college begin well before high school, all Maui Prep 10th graders register for "College and Career Explorations" course that also includes preparation for the College Board PSAT and SAT (as well as ACT). Maui Prep hosts visits from over fifty college admission officers every year, and students have opportunities to attend college fairs on Maui and Oahu. Our college counselor works with every student to customize the student application process in researching the best fit colleges, editing college admissions essays, and navigating college scholarships and the financial aid process. We have been fortunate to boast a consistent 100% acceptance rate to colleges from Maui Prep students, and a majority of our students enter college with college credits via AP or college courses taken at Maui Prep.
