Willow Smith, daughter of Will and Jada Smith, is currently 16 years old. She is a singer, actress, and dancer. She knew fame at a young age and from the time she could produce her own material has turned the heads of many traditionalists. On January 16 of 2017, she released a music video. A video of aesthetic, of colors, of unique images. This music video titled, Jimi, shows how Willow Smith does not follow the same current as others around in todays society. She does not conform to the normal, she makes her own.

The quote by Emerson states that "Imitation is suicide". I believe that is what Willow believes in as well. Smith is her own person and continues to show that everyday. With her wardrobe and her unique style, she challenges the status quo. She breaks the normal and sets her own standards of beauty and breaks away from the restrictions that society has created among us. Transcendentalists look for non conformity, they look for other view, the better view, the different view. Willow Smith certainly falls into that category.

From 2001, Miley Cyrus has shown her life to the public. Every mistake and every achievement, her fans have been front row. In her songs she has taught the importance of self love and knowing that its okay to make mistakes. The only person that will be there for you in the end, is you. When releasing her album titled, Bangerz in 2013, the whole world took a pause. No one was used to this Miley Cyrus, no one expected such a transition. She shocked the world and made it her own. Cyrus as a young adult has shown society that it is okay to be you. Whether that means breaking guidelines along the way. Trust yourself and rely solely on yourself.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to change you, is how Miley Cyrus goes about her day almost every day. Staying true to herself is more than likely one of her greatest accomplishments. As a whole, society constantly tries to eliminate whatever seems new. Whatever does not follow the trends. Cyrus knew that by putting out this new album and her new music that she would be judged for it. That people would stop listening to her. Yet she stayed true to herself. She did not care what anyone else had to say about her. She did not care about the new styles, the new trends, she started them herself. Im sure if Emerson were alive today, that he would easily connect his quote to the way Miley Cyrus carries out her life.

Released a decade ago, The Bee Movie made almost $288 million in the box office. In this animated movie, it follows a bee named Barry B. Benson. Barry Benson is a bee who doesn't seem to understand why they do what they do. He is unaware of the role that bee's play in the beauty of nature. To Barry, nature is just another thing in the world. Nature is just another element outside of the beehive. Yet it is so much more than that. In this movie bees are taken out of nature. They have been given back all of the honey taken therefore resulting in the bees not pollinating. This then results in the flowers welting and the trees dying. The bees now know the importance that lies in their existence. Something that they did not know mattered the slightest, was the most important in keeping nature beautiful.

Ralph Waldo Emerson says that nature always wears the colors of the spirits, which means that nature is always vibrant. Always beautiful. Bees may look small, they hold responsibility for the beautiful flowers that surround us. This movie portrays that perfectly. Bees are now endangered species and it is important that we as humans attempt to preserve the wildlife. To preserve the nature around us. Transcendentalists love nature. They love the beauty of nature, this film shows just that. That no matter how small, one change in nature can make the biggest different, so we must care for it. We must find the beauty within nature.

Beatrice Prior, 16 years of age and completely fearless. She enters a world of dauntlessness. She steps over boundaries and breaks guidelines that restricted her when she was younger. Changing her name to now Tris, she meets a young adult named Four. He shows her the way of dauntless and she realizes that everything may not turn out to be the way it seems. She learns to listen to what her gut is telling her and not what may be the right decision. Along her journey at dauntless she makes mistakes but knows that it was her choice. She knows that she wanted what she wanted and went for it even if it wasn't the smartest idea.

"Do not lose hold of your aspirations". Tris does not. She knows whats important to her and sticks to it. In the last divergent movie, she must face the decision between her family and what she believes is right. Her brother had wronged her in ways more than one. In the end, she chose what she believed what right to do in her eyes. It may not have been the first choice to other people but it is what she believed she had to do.
