Recruit Forum News for and from the young researchers in the Nansen Legacy

Communicating science via @nansenlegacyresearch

The Nansen Legacy recruits are planning to launch the Instagram account @nansenlegacyresearch, where they will convey their experience as young researchers to a broader audience.

To get tips and advices about how to run a successful Instagram account, the Nansen Legacy recruits invited Jean Negrel from the Norwegian Polar Institute for a webinar. Jean Negrel is the coordinator of the @oceanseaiceNPI, an Instagram account with around 7000 followers. During this webinar, Nansen Legacy communication officer Inger Lise Næss also shared her experience in leading the UNIS Instagram account.

The webinar gave useful tips, and highlighted some crucial points that must be taken into account in order to make the Nansen Legacy recruit Instagram account successful. As a next step, Nansen Legacy recruits meet Friday, April 12 at 13 PM, in order to designate a coordinator and discuss a strategy for running @nansenlegacyresearch across institutions and desciplines.
