Saints

Leo IX was a pope on February 12, 1049

He led a army army to banish the Normans in 1053

He was captured by them and held captive for nine months

St. Dominic he spent his life being a contemplative in active apostolic work

If he hadn't taken a trip with his bishop Dominic would have probably remained with the structure of contemplative life

They weren't impressed with the catholic preachers who traveled with horses and retines

St. Francis he abandoned his life of luxury and became a devotee of the faith

Later Francis received a vision and left the sigma of Christ marks resembling the wounds.

He developed a deep love of nature and animals known as the patron saint of the environment and animals
