Bronco Bulletin january 29, 2020

What a great week at BPMS. It was great to have students back in the building again. Seeing their smiling faces (under a mask of course) was energizing!

As a reminder, parents or guardians of all in-seat students must complete a STUDENT HEALTH ASSESSMENT in PowerSchool every day before students enter the bus or arrive at school. Here is one-minute video tutorial on how to submit the Health Assessment if you have not done it before: https://youtu.be/JmueOJoFvfY

Remember, the Student Health Assessment is not available on the mobile app, you must use a browser window. If you do not see the banner with the student assessment and are using Internet Explorer, please try to use a different browser (such as Chrome.)

School Pictures - February 2nd & 4th

We have rescheduled Picture Day for Tuesday, February 2nd, Thursday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 9th. All in-seat students will have their picture taken, during school, on Tuesday, February 2nd.

Our students who have remained virtual will have their picture taken from 2:30pm - 4:30pm on Thursday, February 4th or Tuesday, February 9th. We are asking that you do not arrive early to your appointment and that parents remain in the car in the parking lot. You must use the Sign-up Genius Link below to sign up.

We are aware of the limited number of spaces. If it becomes apparent that we need to schedule more spaces or add an additional day, we will work with the photographer to schedule.

We have already scheduled a picture make-up day for Monday, March 8th for students that are unable to make the earlier dates.

Next Tuesday, February 3rd Mrs. Renton and Ms. Berger will be hosting a Zoom Movie Night for BPMS students.

Virtual Club Information

Don't delay! It is time to join the Stock Market Game Club group in Schoology!

The game is a computer simulation of the actual Stock Market. Students will receive an imaginary $100,000 to invest in any stock or bond listed on one of the American stock exchanges. The goal is to earn the most money during the ten-week game. The game is for all BPMS students and begins Feb 22 and ends April 30. Mr. Martin will be sending out usernames and passwords soon. It is not required to attend the after-school Stock Market Game Club Zoom meetings (every Tuesday we have school, starting Feb 9) to play the game. If you have never played the game, attend (3-4pm) the Feb 9 meeting (except if you are in one of Mr. Martin's classes) to learn how to play. Weekly meetings will be hosted by members of the THS Economics Club. Weekly meetings will end on March 30. Mr. Martin will accept the first 250 students who join the group to play the game. The group access code in Schoology is: 82B7-W9Q9-JRQVV

The most important thing parents and caregivers can do right now is to keep a love of learning alive for their children. Parents and caregivers are essential partners in supporting learning at home, but what does this mean? Parents do not need to be teachers or content area experts. Please join our Partnerships@Home Learning Series for some ideas about fostering curiosity and a sense of wonder during everyday family life. Registration can completed at the link below.
