TIM ROBERTS NAMED NEWMAC CO-OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
In a 2-0 week for the No. 8 Engineers that clinched the NEWMAC regular-season title, senior Tim Roberts averaged a double-double with 23.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game while shooting 81.8 percent from the field and averaged six assists per contest. Defensively, Roberts finished the week with 20 defensive rebounds and added three blocks and five steals in 69 minutes of play.
KYLIE GALLAGHER NAMED NEWMAC OFFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK IN 2-0 WEEK FOR ENGINEERS
In a 2-0 week for MIT, sophomore Kylie Gallagher averaged 18. 5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks while shooting 54.2 percent from the floor and 78.6 percent from the free throw line. She kicked things off by scoring a game-high 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the floor and by going 8-of-10 from the charity stripe while also recording six rebounds, three steals, and three blocks in 22 minutes of an 81-48 win over Wheaton on Wednesday. Gallagher followed this up on Saturday with 19 points (8-of-14 from the floor, 3-of-4 at the free throw line), six boards, and two steals in a 73-65 victory at Coast Guard.
