Delta Mu April 2017 Alpha Delta pi

Ronald McDonald House

At this Ronald Mcdonald House Visit, on February 19, in Houston our sisters sat down and created an alphie with all the children. Each child had so much fun creating their own personal alphie to hang up on their door or wall! The smiles on their faces were so contagious, all the sisters could not stop smiling. We can not wait for our next visit to the Ronald Mcdonald House!

District V LeaderShip Conference

On February 3rd-5th, the Delta Mu chapter made a trip to the District V Leadership Conference in Dallas. While this trip was filled with fun and exciting new memories made with sisters, they also got down to business. Sisters attend sessions all day on February 4th and finished up with their sessions on February 5th. On the last day, an award ceremony was held. At this award ceremony Delta Mu won a number of awards such as, 0% Accounts Receivable, Best Sisterhood Event, Most number of 1st Choices on Bid List, and 100% Alpha Retention Rate. On top of those excellent awards we also won back Sprit Alphie and the award for best name tags! All of these ladies are dedicated to improving our chapter and Alpha Delta Pi as a whole. We are so proud of all their hard work for the chapter! A special thank you to our chapter advisors as well, you all always provide a helping hand and made the weekend run smoothly. We are so glad to have you!

Special Angels Rodeo

Sisters volunteered at the Special Angels Rodeo in Conroe on February 11th. This is where the Montgomery County Fairgrounds put on a rodeo for kids with special needs and gave them a place to make friends and have fun! While they were there some of them had on of the kids as a "buddy". If the sister had a buddy she spent the day hanging out with the kids as well as their families. Others helped out in other ways such as, cleaning up trash left on the ground, helping at the face-painting booth, and helping the families with anything they need! Everyone had a blast volunteering here this year and we hope to be invited back to help next year!

Sisters Support the Bearkats !

One thing we love to do, is to go support our Bearkats! Watching baseball and soccer games are always a blast when you're surrounded by sisters. The games are always full of laughter, cheering, and good memories.

Bible Study

Our Chaplin, Madison Schwandt, held a sweets and coffee bible study for all sisters who wanted to join. This was a great way for sisters to connect with each other and GOD. Everyone had a blast and cannot wait until the next one!

Our President, Darby Humphries, and Vice President, Kyndal Scobee, attended the 2017 Alpha Delta Pi Texas State Convention in Forth Worth, Texas. At the convention Delta Mu was awarded Outstanding Chapter Advisor to Laura Sulivan, Spirit Award, and Collegiate Marketing and Media Award! Kyndal Scobee was also given the award of Rising Star/ Emerging Leader.
