Bronco Bulletin September 13, 2019

We had a great week at Boulan Park Middle School! The picture above is of our new Woman's Suffrage Display from the United States National Archives! A special thank you to Mrs. Slaviero for reaching out to the National Archives for this wonderful display. If you are in the building please stop by and take a look as it is located right outside of our office area.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Hyska, Mrs. Slaviero and Ms. Afana's TLA 1 students took a field trip around the city of Troy. Our students had a great day visiting Troy City Hall, getting to see the Troy Police Station and Community Center and they even got to have breakfast at Kerby's. A special thanks to all of our city officials who took time to welcome and talk with our Broncos.

The Boulan Media Center will be hosting a Follett Book Fair on September 16-20! Please see the attached parent letter from Mrs. Chatel to learn about the fair and to find out when your child is scheduled to shop at the fair. You can also shop at the fair before and after Curriculum Night on September 19—we will be set up in the cafeteria and will be open 6-9 pm! Consider purchasing your child a gift card to the fair so that you don’t have to worry about sending them with cash or a check: http://www.follettgift.com.

Any questions, please contact Mrs. Chatel at cchatel@troy.k12.mi.us

We still have many items in our lost and found already! Please write your last name on water bottles, lunch boxes, sweatshirts and notebooks and we will make sure that they get returned to their owners. Without names it's difficult to get these items home.

Helpful Hints from the Office

Each week Mrs. Brune and Mrs. Miller will provide some "helpful hints" to make the office process (and parent process!) smoother. This week Mrs. Brune is going to give some office advice on dropping lunch off for your child.

My child left their lunch on the kitchen counter. What do I do?

The lunch cart is located in the front vestibule at Boulan Park Middle School and is labeled by grade. Please put your child’s name on their lunch bag and on the appropriate grade level. Please try to deliver all lunches before 11 am. The lunch cart is wheeled into the cafeteria and your child can pick it up during their scheduled lunch period. We do not call students down to pick up their lunches.

Thank you,

Mrs. Brune and Mrs. Miller

Just a reminder that any 7th or 8th grade student who is going participate in any sport MUST have a sports physical on file to compete. No students will be allowed to practice without a current sports physical on file. Sports physicals done before April 15th cannot be accepted.

Have a wonderful weekend,
