Yolanda Garza’s Learning Journal Motion Graphics in the CLassroom 2018

HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY LEARNING JOURNAL. I LIVE IN THE DFW AREA OF NORTH TEXAS AND I LOVE ALL AREAS OF ART AND DESIGN. I AM TAKING SOME TIME OUT OF MY DAY TO EXPLORE AN AREA IN MY LIFE THAT I DON'T HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE WITH AND THAT IS MOTION DESIGN. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SHARING MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOU ALL. I AM OPEN TO FEEDBACK SO PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CRITIQUE MY WORK.

Project 1: Storyboarding

Replace a Christmas Bulb

It's that time of year to bring out the Christmas lights from storage. The routine is to check the lights to make sure they are all functioning properly before being added to the tree or outdoor display.

Mood Board for Week 2 Assignments

Christmas Lights are an important part of the season of Christmas. It's a visual expression of the holiday season. All it takes for all of this to go away is to have one bulb go out. One bad bulb can create chaos, disharmony, frustration and madness. It's always a good practice to check the lights before putting them on display.

Motion Graphic Color Theme

Color theme, seems a bit dark but lights stand out against the darkness of the night. Illuminating the hearts of many.

Preliminary Assets for Motion Graphics Project

I love illustrations and using Adobe for my creative work. This particular project requires at least 10-15 assets, this is only the beginning. Each individual element is on its own layer.

Created more assets for the project

Finalized video for the motion graphics course. I enjoyed the class and I came out of the course learning things I hadn't learned before.

Week 3 Assignment

I am really enjoying my time with Illustrator, I have learned new techniques from taking this course and I am very pleased with the way things are heading and I am excited about moving on the next assignment.
