5 Benefits of Serving with Ohio Reading & Math Corps | Read it >
In return, you receive extensive professional development, a monthly stipend, assistance with paying student loans or tuition costs and that empowering sense of satisfaction you get when you realize the impact you've had on these childrens' lives.
We are seeking change-makers.
Our members are making a difference.
Whether it be math tutoring or literacy tutoring, our members work with elementary students in Ohio public schools to support them in their early stages of learning and help them overcome their academic challenges. Members also participate in community service projects throughout the year.
Our program values diversity.
Whatever your age, employment history, education background or interests - we welcome you. We believe people from all walks of life have valuable lessons to impart on others. All we ask is that you are caring and dedicated to helping our students succeed.
OHIO MATH CORPS
GRADES K-5
Members provide basic math support to students in grades K-5 who are below-proficient in the subject.
Our program has served more than 300 students each year. We currently provide our services in Central Ohio (Columbus) and Youngstown, and we plan to expand into the Cleveland and Cinicinnati areas in the near future.
