It is essential to help your team and your organization, but more importantly, you must take care of yourself first and foremost. People depend on your leadership every day, which means there are no days off as a leader. Furthermore, my second rule of personal leadership is you can't give what you don't have. If you don't take the time for yourself, you won't take the time for others. If you don't have the patience for yourself, you won't have the patience for others.

Make time for yourself, because your value is essential to the growth of your organization. If you think of a full week of 168 hours, you make time for so many people, but make yourself a priority in your own life. Focus on the four life buckets to start the investment into yourself; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Remember, you can be everything to everyone else, but nothing to yourself. Make and take time to invest in you.
