Perception ComplexionThe Alchemist - Chris Floridia
"He had the same dream as a week ago, and once again he had wakened before it ended" (Paulo Coelho 6).
Some people who dream, don't actually think that it has meaning, but in some circumstances can mean many things about you depending on what you dream about. It all has to do with what perception you have in life.
"Two years ago, right here on this spot, I had a recurrent dream too. I dreamed that I should travel to the fields of Spain and look for a ruined church where shepherds and their sheep slept. In my dream, there was a sycamore growing out of the ruins of the sacristy, and I was told that, if I dug at the roots of the sycamore, I would find a hidden treasure. But i'm not so stupid as to cross an entire desert just because of a recurrent dream." (Paulo Coelho 167)
The truth is that if you have a dream sometime in life, and it tells you to do something, even something obscure, you should follow your dreams into helping you become something more.
"One afternoon, on a visit to his family, he had summoned up the courage to tell his father that he didn't want to become a priest. That he wanted to travel." (Paulo Coelho 11)
If you want to do something other than what others want you to do, just try to build up the courage to tell them otherwise, or else you may be stuck going down the foggy road ahead.
"They come in search of new things, but when they try to leave, they are basically the same people they were when they arrived. They climb the mountain to see the castle, and they wind up thinking that the past was better than what they have now." (Paulo Coehlo 11)
If you've gone sightseeing any time during your life, it may seem as the greatest time during then, but if you think about the past to be better, you're just worsening the way you feel now. So instead of thinking how good the past was, think about how good everything is now.
"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity." (Paulo Coelho 134)
Instead of doubting yourself, and fearing that you can't do something, you should force yourself to at least try to accomplish whatever your dream is, because fear is the worst aspect somebody could capitulate to.
