The main difference between Athens and Sparta is their main goal. Sparta wanted to produce soldiers. Boys would have to be able to take any amount of pain without complaining. Athens main goal was to produce good citizens and to strengthen their minds. Athenians would be taught normal education. Overall, Athenians trained their minds and Spartans trained soldiers.
