Hail the (mighty) Quinn's!Find out how this barbecue joint at SM Mega Fashion Hall got me 'pregnant'
And after exactly two months since they opened in the country, since then have I heard that the Philippines branch of Mightyis even better than the original. Now that, is a promising statement. And surely, something like that can only mean more pressure for the guys who brought it in the country.
mighty quinn's in the philippines is under standard hospitality group, the same guys behind other successful food franchises such as yabu: house of katsu and ippudo ramen.
This barbecue joint which originated from Manhattan's East Village in New York City and owned by Chef Hugh Magnum, and pays a homage to the great pit masters who have gone before them - making sure that what you get is both familiar and unique at the same time.
Chef Hugh makes sure that we only get what we deserve - from tender brisket, humongous rib pieces, Brontosaurus ribs, and that burnt ends. Oh boy, just by remembering those moments of savoring their food makes my mouth water right now.
YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF MAKING ALL THOSE STRANGE (AND PROBABLY A BIT OF NASTY) NOISES AS SOON AS YOU TAKE A BITE OF THEIR BARBECUE. DON'T BE TOO LOUD THOUGH - OR PEOPLE MIGHT END UP WATCHING YOU WHILE YOU EAT.
Each ingredient must have been given that right amount of tender loving care - and what you'd obviously expect is nothing but a great tasting dish. Aside from their awesome barbecue, their healthy and hefty sides did justice as well....my personal favorites being the Sweet Potato Casserole and the Burnt End Baked Beans.
Forget the candlelight dinner - impress your girl at Mighty Quinn's
Slow-smoked barbecue prepared the old school way with the help of wood and time
You can order their BBQs in Single Serving, Half and Full Pounds.
I LIKE MY FRIES DIRTY --- these Dirty Fries are smothered w/ Burnt Ends, chile-lime sauce, red onions and scallions (spicy)
Look at that juicy, luscious tender piece of Brisket. One easy slice was all it took to cut this in half.
This is definitely something that I can get my hands to all day long.
I was so full and satisfied that I was actually accused of being pregnant....by a stranger...on the bus on my way home. Oh but I didn't mind, no, I didn't even bother.
