What is a topographic map?

A topographic map is a type of map characterized by large-scale detail and quantitative representation of relief, the meaning of this is that it uses numbers to represent the altitude.

How to draw a cross section?

First we have to do a line that correspond to the value in the graphic. Then we have to link all the points that we made.

What are countour lines?

Contour lines are lines drawn on a map connecting points of equal altitude, meaning if you physically followed a contour line, elevation would remain constant.
