Tell & Sell YourStory Wednesday April 3 , 3:00-5:00pm

A Presentation Skills Workshop, Wednesday April 3, 3:00-5:00pm Room 100, Stauffer-Flint Hall

What does it mean to "Tell & Sell Your Story" as it relates to this workshop? If you are pursuing a career in strategic communications, marketing, business or news and information or just interviewing for that first job or internship, possessing great presentation skills will be an asset.

Engagement is critical and taking care of your audience is a must. Therefore the way you communicate with your eyes, hands, body, voice and words play an important role in how your message is received. You may have heard a saying, "the way you say it is more important than what you say." Personality and the way you tell your story are the most important aspects of the presentation and in the end it's how your audience "feels" that is critical. These are a few of the items covered in the workshop. It will be interactive and you'll learn how to present your brand and message with intent and clarity so that your audience feels like you've "taken care" of them. We will debrief some video of actual presentations in order for you to see and hear what the customer sees and hears.

If you're pursuing a Certificate in Professional Selling through the Business School, attendance at the workshop qualifies for 1x point. The workshop will be limited to 20 participants so RSVP to mvrabac@ku.edu to secure your position now.
