Hoops for Heart The heart-thumping jumping, shooting and hula hooping is a perennial favorite at Mt. Pleasant Middle School.

Mt. Pleasant Middle School students showed they have a lot of heart, raising more than $10,000 for the American Heart Association at the school’s “Hoops for Heart,” a 14-year tradition at the school. The heart-thumping jumping, shooting and hula hooping to the student’s favorite pop tunes makes “Hoops for Hearts” a perennial favorite at Mt. Pleasant Middle School. "The PE department is really touched by the efforts that the students put into the event and continue to do so with their generous donations," said Jessica M Blomn, Physical Education & Health teacher.
