Before Presidential Election
Prior to being elected as president, Donald Trump was a seen as a very arogant and egotistical business man, much as he is now.
Before his election, he could be seen as a successful businessman due to the amount of money and assets he possessed. According to Forbes in 2006, Trump was rated as the 278th Richest person on earth with assets totaling nearly $3billion. The start of his money came from his fathers business and family inheritance, while he made millions himself through through real estate.
His arrogance could be seen during an interview with ABC News where he was commenting about United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan. During a discussion about the renovation of the U.N Headquarters in Manhattan.A U.N. study released last year estimated it could cost from $964 million to $1.054 billion to renovate the complex over a 6-year or 12-year period, plus up to $500 million more in interest payments on loans. The cost, theoretically, would be borne by member countries including the United States. Trump commented that he could perform this renovation for $500 Million, saving the U.N $1Billion. He also insisted that he could do a better job than General Kofi Annan in a third of the time Anna quoted with less disruption to the staff.
There is evidence of Trump being sexist in an interview several years before he became the leader of the free world. Donald Trump bragged in vulgar terms about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women during a 2005 conversation caught on a hot microphone, saying that “when you’re a star, they let you do it,” according to a video obtained by The Washington Post.
During the Presidential Election
During an electoral campaign in Florida, Trump told voters to ensure that they voted on November 28th, although the voting took place on the 8th of the same month. This was presumably a mistake by Trump as he wouldnt want to lose followers of his own Rally.
On Trumps website in 2016, the following was posted. "Donald J. Trump is the very definition of the American success story, continually setting the standards of excellence while expanding his interests in real estate, sports, and entertainment. He is the archetypal businessman – a deal maker without peer." THis again shows Trumps arrogance and self-belief.
Donald Trump had previous history of disrespectful comments as formely aluded to. During his Electoral campaign he made several racist remarks compared to sexist previously before.
He had done many different things, including claiming a judge was biased purely because he was a Mexican; had his company sued by The Justice Department twice for not renting to black people; He refused to condemn the white supremacists who are campaigning for him; He condoned the beating of a Black Lives Matter protester. He also questioned whether the President before him, Barack Obama wa bornb in the United States.
After Becoming President
An American news journal reported that, Donald Trump’s team has been accused of possible “treason” as new allegations emerge of repeated contact with Russian intelligence officials during the US election campaign. The President’s representatives have repeatedly denied any untoward contact with the Kremlin but fresh claims have emerged in the wake of a separate scandal that sparked the national security adviser's resignation.
As many of trumps rallies, interviews and almost every news source has reported, Trump had planned and succeed to ban Muslims from being allowed to enter the USA. This decision was eventually overturned but not before Trump and all of his followers and hater could have their say on various social medias and in hundreds of interviews.
There is much speculation on how Trump will act over the remainder of his term. If it anything like the usual Trump fashion, it will be full of controversy.
