John C. Calhoun had many DIFFERENT jobs working with the government.

John C. Calhoun was first the 7th vice president of the US for Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams. . After that, John C. Calhoun was the US Senator for SC from 1845 to 1850. Then he was also the 16th US secretary of state from 1844 to 1845. He was also 10th US secretary of war from 1817 to 1825. John C. Calhoun was also a member of the US House of Representatives from South Carolina’s 6th district from 1811 to 1817.

John C. Calhoun Early life

John C. Calhoun has 10 children. He went to Yale University for college. His religion was Unitarianism.

John C. Calhoun is now resting at St. Philips Church
